Built by (and named for) a beer baron in 1912, this "beautifully appointed" Downtown hotel is anything but Busch league thanks to the "best dining in Dallas" at its French Room (voted the city's No. 1 restaurant in our Texas Restaurants Survey), and a staff that could be "the role model for other properties"; rooms are "old-world charming", yet boast 21st-century perks like WiFi and flat-panel TVs, while the public spaces' "exquisite" decor wraps everything in a "timeless elegance."

Super clean rooms.

This hotel was wonderful! It was by far the cleanest hotel I have stayed in. My husband and I are not the most familiar with Dallas but the lady at the front desk as well as the guys in valet parking were able to recommend place and restaurants for us to go to. Everyone was very friendly. The hotel really exceeded my expectations and was beautiful! ...read more

Upgrade to suite.
Room service was disappointing but they fixed it; have to call for ice; no vending machines.

Beautiful, very friendly, excellent.
Wished I could have parked my own car, but it ended up being easier in the long run.

Absolutely gorgeous! Wonderful staff!

The facilities were beautiful. The hotel was built in the early 1900's and has kept it's charm.
Travelers should know in advance that there is only valet parking and that it costs $24 in cash - exact change only.

The hotel was beautiful and very historical. However, the restaurant was very, pricey. The fact that parking was $24 will keep me from going there again any time soon. This hotel would be a great spot for a romantic getaway, but for a mom with 2 children, it was difficult to manage the extraneous cost. ...read more

The Adolphus hotel was a nice place to stay for last minute travel and great location to enjoy downtown entertainment.

Happy hour at the Rodeo Bar.
Dark, depressing rooms with windows that faced other rooms.

The location.
Double beds too small.

Great location and very nice atmosphoere. Double beds are way too small, need to have 2 queens.

Good staff and decor. Clean and upscale.
The pillows were bad. They turn off the central air during the night.

The worst part is they turn off the central air at night so you only have the fan blowing. I like it cold so it didn't work well for me. It was hot in the room. The pillows are those soft feather pillows that flatten down to nothing. Not comfortable at all. The Hyatt has the best beds and pillows of all hotels. ...read more
